Lorus Sports V532. Lunious dial.

Lorus is sub brand of Seiko and as such comes with Pulsar and Alba to cover lover end of the market.
They are more expensive than your regular Casio or Timex and somehow on part with simple Edifice or more posh Timex models. Why should you buy it? What is special about it? Not mach actually it may win on some design aspects like this model with luminous dial.

Let dig into it and go through cons and pros.

I will start with covering watch itself as is no design perk in it. It fairly cheap watch with slim profile, date only. Movement have metal build and been around for quite time. Nothing special. Bracelet is flimsy and sometime borderline uncomfortable as you may expect from affordable watch. 100m WR is sufficient for all. Shape is nice and size is on smaller side but sits perfectly. Hands have too much of free play when you set up time. Lorus as well as Pulsar did not win my heart as reliable watches. Unlike Seiko if you pick used one (like i did) you may get another dead weight. Despite new battery watch stops after a day or two of working. Bezel clicks (yes it's a real one unlike Timex likes to make) and though it bit slippery it still useful.

So far not much.

Now for luminous dial. It's not Lorus exclusive but i found it to be really good thing. It looks good at day and at night even with cheap lume on this one it's still better than cheap lume on hands only. Hardly a thing for stealth action but definitely your friend outdoors. If you don't mind your watch radioactive glow in the night it's very cool option to have and give some extra charm to it.

So would i recommend Lorus? New one... yes. If you get one on sale it's even better if not there are better options. There are unique styles and there is nothing fundamentally wrong with it. Regular variety of affordable watch you may toss into drawer after 3-4 years.
Would i recommend luminous dial? Yes!!! it's absolutely useful and interesting feature. Would be really good for things like fishing, running after sunset, camping, work, .... plenty of uses where you can really benefit from visibility without push of the button.
Would i recommend used Lorus even if it's in like new condition?
No. Miyota based used watches are far more reliable (including Casio and any possible fashion watch around). Not all Japanese quartz watches are equal.
