Timex Y2K titanium chronograph

Back in year 2000 or Y2K, as it was popular to say that time, sun was brighter grass was greener and yes you guessed it… Matrix got Neo. We learned about Y2K bug which never came. .com bubble and many other fun things. Timex did not got it groove back and among other things was experimenting with form and movements. One of these trials I proudly wear on my wrist. In a way it very special watch. I don’t know exact model but as it goes with Timex, model number often lost with the sticker on the back of the watch. So it round, it titanium grey, it quartz 12hr chronograph, it 50m wr, it based on Miyota movement. Movement is uncomplicated with date, 12 hr chronograph measuring up to seconds with help of usual two buttons. Nothing special yet light and accurate movement. You can see esthetics of the watch on the photos. Watch is round with a lot of circles going on. These alien folks marking fields in rural countryside could have this Timex on the wrist with professional pride. Hour

Citizen GN-09-5 on C240 movement It will sound repeated, but I find analog digital combo on a watch the best thing to wear. You get it, best of both worlds. Not many of these analog digital combo watches get to be truly quality ones. Citizen C240 dos not look like Breitling, yet has a lot of promise. Lest see it up close and personal and judge pros and cons of this watch. There is family of expensive watches by Swiss brands with a lot in common: back in the time it was cool to be digital yet they had no guts to be one. So internals were outscored to Japanese manufacturers. Citizen was inside ... of … you name it. Later on, cool and proudly Swiss calibers were developed to justify 6000$ asking price. Japanese internal trickled into Casio you can buy at mere 50$ or even 25$. But what you should buy, if you do want them both digital and hands?
